Kim Kardashian Responds to Criticism for Allowing North West to Wear Fake Tattoos and Facial Piercings

Published on

if you have seen Northwest Lately, you know he’s currently in that classic preteen stage of experimenting with his appearance.

Unfortunately, that has received some criticism. Most recently, the 12-year-old faced backlash after stepping out in a corset and miniskirt during a trip to Rome in August with kim kardashian. After people deemed it inappropriate for someone her age, Kim agreedbut he also said he’s letting North discover her own style.

“She’s usually a girl who dresses like a tomboy most of the time,” she said of North. “She wanted to try something her friends were wearing and she went to the same place they went, and they all got these outfits, and then she wears them, and it’s like, ‘Okay, wait, maybe you can’t wear that.’ And as a mom, you’re learning at the same time.”

Fast forward to last week, when North sparked another round of criticism when she debuted a bold new look on TikTok. In a series of videos taken before what appeared to be a concert, North was seen with a fake septum piercing and multiple faces. tattoos – including a large star under his right eye and handwriting under his left eye. She was wearing a printed t-shirt, baggy pants, blue contact lenses, and a black grill, with her hair in thick, bright blue braids.

Once again, people reacted quickly. Many saying It was a classic case of “bad parenting.” “Her ‘mother’ is doing the opposite of being a mother,” one person said tweetedlike another wrote“OMG! Why would a parent be okay with this? I know my kid wouldn’t look like that.”

Amid the reactions, the Daily Mail Australia published a TikTok video with the title “12-year-old North West worries her fans with her new look.” The post highlighted several other concerned comments, including, “By the way, he’s 12” and “This is just sad.” Others wrote: “How’s it like being a kid?” and “What the hell Kanye West is happening?”

Kim caught wind of the post and quickly hit the comments to react. Writing from his and North’s joint TikTok account, he said: “This is not a problem😭.”

And people in the comments agreed. “This IS 12,” one person wrote. “I tried the same looks when I was 12, but I didn’t have social media and my parents weren’t famous, so I’d just like to be like that, so leave her alone.” Another shared: “She’s a girl who plays dress up with her friends… where’s the problem?”

“As if they don’t sell fake tattoos for children… Since always,” added one more.

What do you think of North’s tattoos and piercings? Let me know (respectfully!) in the comments.
