DONALD Trump’s secret “Donroe Doctrine”, which is at the center of his escalating drug war with Venezuela, has been revealed.
People close to the US president say his recent attacks on “narcoterrorist” ships, military deployments and verbal threats are linked to broader global politics.
Trump’s growing preparations for an all-out war with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro stem from his desire to address immigration and reduce the influence of hostile nations.
Sources in Washington are naming their plans after the famous Monroe Doctrine.
The beginning of the 19th century established that the United States should see Latin America as its backyard and demanded greater dominance in the region ahead of its foreign enemies.
It comes as Trump has ordered at least 10 strikes in alleged drug trafficking vessels since the beginning of their anti-drug operation.

Meanwhile, a huge fleet of US warships, drones and troops has amassed in the Caribbean near Venezuelan waters, and a menacing US aircraft carrier also joined the squadron earlier this week.

Trump has also linked Maduro to criminal cartels and has given the green light to CIA missions on Venezuelan soil.
But this huge effort – apparently hoping to topple the Maduro regime – will also help Trump curb immigration, White House sources told The Telegraph.
Declaring war on Venezuela could help him revive the Foreign Enemies Act, a law he was prevented from enacting near the beginning of his second term.
This 17th century law grants the president the power to aim citizens of a hostile nation if the foreign government organizes a “predatory invasion or raid.”
In addition to this secondary objective, experts say that the Don’s ambitions in the Caribbean may also be aimed at fighting external influence in the region.
As Trump has escalated his war on cartels, China has invested millions in Venezuelan oil projects, while Russia has armed the country with fighter jets and tanks.
In “Project 2025,” the US president’s speculated plan circulating before his second term, the idea of reasserting influence in Latin America was called “rehemispherization.”
The concept calls for taking control of supply lines in the region as a requirement for US economic security.
Trump has so far hit Venezuela with tough oil sanctions, telling generals last month: “We are restoring the focus necessary to defeat threats in the Western Hemisphere.”
It comes after Maduro accused the United States of “manufacturing a new war” in response to Trump’s deployment of the USS Gerald R. ford to the region.
The transport giant joins the americansteel ringcurrently stationed near Venezuelan waters.
Specifically, it has been parked next to eight additional warships, a nuclear submarine and an F-35 aircraft.
According to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, the US military has already killed about 40 people piloting boats along the Caribbean Sea in 10 attacks.

Adding to the growing tension is Trump’s accusation of the Colombian president Gustavo Petro of being an “illegal drug leader.”
