Episode 2 of the HBO horror drama series It: Welcome to Derry It will be available almost three days earlier than planned to celebrate Halloween. It will debut on Friday, October 31 at 12:00 am PT/3:00 am ET on maximum HBO. The episode will premiere on HBO as scheduled on Sunday, November 2 at 9:00 pm ET/PT.
This is a unique exception linked to the holiday. Subsequent episodes of the eight-episode season will continue to release on Sundays on HBO and HBO Max until the season finale on Sunday, December 14.
Set in the world of Stephen King’s “It” universe, Welcome to Derry was developed for television by filmmakers Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muscheletti and Jason Fuchs, with Trimmetti directing multiple episodes.
The cast includes Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Blake Cameron James, Arian S. Cartaya, Amanda Christine, Matilda Lawler, Clara Stack, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso and Bill Skarsgård reprising his sinister Pennywise character from the films.
Produced by HBO and Warner Bros. Television, It: Welcome to Derry It is executive produced by Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muscheletti (through their production company Double Dream), Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee and Dan Lin. Fuchs, who wrote the script for the first episode, and Kane are co-showrunners on the project.
